Iceland Sperm Whales January 26, 2019
We had extraordinarily calm sea conditions on our tour today, and – sunshine! As we came through the deeper waters of Breidafjördur, we spotted 4 sperm whales that lifted up their flukes in the shining waters. We almost got a sunburn!
Sperm Whales in Snaefellsnes
Snaefellsnes is the only region in Iceland where we regularly see sperm whales on a whale watching tour. Sperm whales are the fourth largest whale species with a length of up to 12 meters.
